Boots would not generally be acceptable in the court. When women wear boots to court, it can prove to be distracting and unprofessional. Most courts have very strict guidelines in regards to the courtroom dress code. For example, Superior Court judges in California require women to wear skirts or dresses that are no more than at the knee when appearing in their courtroom. When women wear boots to court, it is not acceptable.
